Estrogen terutamanya kekal oleh hati. Pesakit dengan gangguan fungsi hati mungkin pada peningkatan risiko untuk sampingan kesan-kesan yang berkaitan dengan estrogen pentadbiran kerana menurun dadah pelepasan. Terapi dengan estrogen perlu diberikan berhati-hati pada pasien dengan penyakit hati. Di samping itu, doktor harus sedar bahawa estrogen terapi mungkin mempengaruhi hati fungsi ujian. Meningkat sulfobromophthalein penyimpanan telah dilaporkan dengan menggunakan estrogen-mengandungi pil dan mungkin dijangka dengan dos yang lebih besar estrogen.
